Do you receive the following message when you try to use Internet Explorer? Then follow this guide on how to disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security. Windows Server edition is not meant for browsing the internet, that is why this security option is enabled by default.
Disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security To disable Security Explorer Enhanced Security, do the following:
Open 'Server Manager' in the Start Menu.

In 'Server Manager' go to 'Local Server'.

On the right side you will find 'IE Enhanced Security Configuration'. Click on this.

Set both options to 'Off' in the panel that opens and click on 'OK'.

Re-open Internet Explorer, you should now be able to browse the internet and download files and programs.
