We are pleased to announce, now alongside our standard package, our customers will be able to choose between two additional VPS plans, CPU optimized and memory-optimized. We have launched these packages to address the specific
needs of our customers and provide more personalised services for our clients. We explain and breakdown our new plans below…
CPU, or central processing unit, is a main and integral part of a server. Our new, CPU optimized package is ideal for servers that require extra CPU power but do not necessarily need additional memory. When using more CPU power, a CPU optimized server will deliver more stability and ensure the unit has a higher capacity, preventing server crashes and slow operations.
Benefits of a CPU optimized plan
Enhancing the speed at which the CPU functions enables a server to perform an increased amount of CPU-heavy tasks, increasing the speed and general performance a server and therefore whatever digital platforms it is hosting. For example, if you regularly run an application on your server, you could benefit from a CPU optimized package as you will require a powerful CPU. Industry experts measure the speed of a CPU with a gigahertz unit. The speed at which data moves from the CPU to various applications on your server, measured in gigahertz, influences the speed of the sever. In short, the higher the gigahertz, the faster a server will be.
The CPU optimized package offered by VPS Server is well suited for servers that regularly run applications and need a CPU to ensure the speed at which data moves between applications is incredibly fast. Our plans allow servers to have a greater CPU capacity, but also more stability. There is technically no such thing as memory CPU, as although CPU interacts closely with the memory or main storage of a CPU, memory is not a part of the CPU.
Our second new package is a high memory VPS. If you require or use a lot of volatile memory on your server, it is recommended you opt for a memory optimized VPS plan, as it will ensure you not only receive a better price for a higher amount of RAM, but it will ensure your server has substantial uninterrupted memory ranging from 2 GB to 384 GB.
Our package comes in the following sizes: 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 12 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, 48 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB, 192 GB, 384 GB.
If you use a high amount of memory on a daily basis or use applications that require a high amount of memory to perform efficiently, you may wish to consider a memory optimized VPS plan.
Benefits of a memory optimized plan
Increasing the memory of your server will allow you to store more data and applications on your server. Increased memory will also ensure your server is operating at optimum speed, as your application will have sufficient memory to promptly exchange data between one another.
The memory optimized package offered by VPS Server is ideal for businesses and individuals who require a lot of memory but do not necessarily need extra CPU. For example, if you have a server where data storage is a higher priority than running multiple applications at once, a memory optimized VPS package may benefit you. Our memory optimized package is available at the same price as our standard package but does not have extra CPU or disk space included.
Which package is right for me?
There is no simple one-size-fits-all answer to which package is right for you, it depends on the needs of your server and your personal preferences.
